I don't see a check for updates option in any menus either. I no longer see those, but I'm only on version 2.0.20.1. I'll clone the "My-First-GitHub-Site" to my local machine with SourceTree. Pre-2.x sourcetree would popup a notification about updates periodically. Now, you can click "Clone" to clone one to your local machine.
